Offered is a Civil War era breast plate.  It has all three prongs, back is lead filled.  Edge has a bend.  Attached to the original cross strap.  It retains the slide and remnants of the cartridge box hanger.  The manufacturer's mark is present and reads " Jewell Maker Hartford".  Leather is still supple but finish is cracking and flaking.  It measures about 52" long.
